Privacy Policy
Effective: October 24, 2026DOT Photos lets you view photos and videos imported from Photos or stored on your own server. The app contains no advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs, and does not require a developer-operated account.
Photos and connections
The app connects only to the WebDAV or MT Photos servers you configure. Credentials are sent to your server for authentication, and photos and videos are downloaded directly from it to your device. We do not relay or collect your private library through a developer cloud. Your server operator may keep access logs; consult that operator’s privacy policy.
If you use a public demo account, we operate the demo server and may retain access logs needed to provide and secure the service, such as IP addresses, request times, and file paths. Do not upload private content to the demo library.
On-device storage
Photos and videos you select using the system photo picker are copied into this app’s local library. Removing a library deletes only the copies imported into this app; originals in Photos remain unchanged. Imported copies are stored separately from NAS cache, which may be automatically removed. EXIF details are read and displayed only on your device and are not sent to the developer. Watermarks are display overlays and do not modify original files.
Passwords are stored in this device’s system Keychain. The library index, preferences, watermarks, and media cache are stored on the device. You can clear cached media in Settings. Older cache may be removed to respect the storage limit, or reclaimed by the system. Clearing the cache does not delete original files on your NAS.
System permissions
Local network access is used to connect to local servers. Permission to add photos is requested only when you save an original to Photos. The system photo picker provides only the watermark image you select. You can manage permissions in system Settings.
